EMDR
THERAPY

When painful memories continue to affect your present, healing can feel difficult.
EMDR therapy helps individuals process distressing experiences that may be contributing to anxiety, emotional overwhelm, negative beliefs, or trauma-related symptoms.
You do not have to remain stuck in survival mode.
What is EMDR therapy?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
It is a structured therapy approach that helps the brain process distressing memories and experiences that may feel "stuck."
Sometimes difficult experiences are not fully processed, leaving individuals feeling overwhelmed, triggered, anxious, or emotionally reactive long after the event has passed.
EMDR helps the brain reprocess these experiences so they become less emotionally distressing and easier to manage. (EMDR International Association)

How EMDR therapy works?

Getting to Know Your Story
We begin by understanding your experiences, concerns, goals, and readiness for EMDR.

Building Safety and Resources
Before processing difficult memories, we develop coping skills and strategies to help you feel grounded and supported.

Processing Distressing Experiences
Using EMDR techniques, we work through memories and experiences that continue to affect your present life.

Strengthening Healing and Growth
As distress decreases, we focus on reinforcing healthier beliefs, increased resilience, and future wellbeing.
EMDR includes preparation, processing, and integration phases tailored to each individual's needs. (Frontiers)

EMDR does not require clients to discuss every detail of a traumatic experience and is often integrated with other therapeutic approaches. (EMDR International Association)
